<description>After reading your experience with the SWF on day 2, I finally did some long awaited research on what consequences one would face if their Salt Water Flush was not successful, meaning the salt water was taken up by the body, and not passed as intended.

1. The average American consumes an average of 3,436 mg sodium daily - as reported by the AHA.

2. 1 teaspoon salt = 2300 mg sodium.

3. 1 US teaspoon = 4.92892159 ml and 1 US tablespoon = 14.7867648 ml

4. Mayo clinic recommends not exceeding the range of 1,500 and 2,400 mg of sodium

5. 8 oz of Soup (tomato), reconstituted contains 700-1260 mg of sodium

This leads me to believe that no great harm will come from 1 or 2 missed doses or attempts at the SWF (perhaps even daily botch attempts). Obviously you want to get the dose of salt to water correct (and use the correct salt --non iodized, organic sea salt) so that you are successful. But one shouldn&#039;t worry about having this amount of salt in their system.

Remember, it is not like you are eating bacon for breakfast, tomato soup for lunch and a steak for dinner like usual (hopefully not any more after you are done the cleanse)
