Love this! I have grappled with the same questions. I think that's part of the reason why I was alternately thrilled/terrified to do the Vancouver Mom event. Finally people who understand the bizarre nature of living your life out there, for almost everyone to see! Loved meeting you and have now subscribed, sister (and yes, I mean that in the old Christian way as well as the new "I like you" way.)

My last facebook update was: "Carleen Armstrong
has planted the carrots, cucumbers, beans and spinach"

Heh. I think this idea is interesting and I think its got some merit (internet mavens as narcissists) but, doesn't the same sort of thing apply about those at parties who waltz up to others and start conversations? And we don't automatically consider that a bizarrely egotistically behavior. Indeed it takes confidence but it can be done for the sake of pulling in other people and providing a place where others can put in their two cents. I like to hope I do a teeny bit of that sort of thing online too.

I suck at tweeting, you probably already figured that out. And I spend too much time on facebook, and you know that too. It's definitely a different world, but while some see it as the ability to be transparent, others sadly will find ways to manipulate that.

My most recent tweet:
Tea is like a cup of hot, steaming bliss in my book.

My most recent Facebook status update:
Happy Mother's Day!

I am pretty transparent, too. I do wonder if it will come back to bite me. I like to think that it could just as easily help me, too. Either way, I look forward to a world when I don't have to wonder and worry, for sure.
